Literary and artistic exchanges between Italy and the U.S.
This research project proposed by Carla Francellini (University of Siena) and Sabrina Vellucci (Roma Tre University) aims at investigating the activity in the field of literary promotion of four recognized institutions in the United States and Italy: New York University’s “Casa Italiana Zerilli – Marimo’” (NYC), “John D. Calandra Italian American Institute” (Queens College, CUNY), “Centro Altreitalie per le migrazioni italiane” (Torino), “Centro Studi Americani” (Roma).

This research project proposed by Giuliano Santangeli Valenzani (RomaTre University) aims at producing an academic essay on Italian tourism promotion in the United States in the 1950s. The research will examine advertisements and promotional publications and activities conducted by the Italian National Tourist Office (E.N.I.T, Ente Nazionale Italiano per il Turismo) and aimed at the American market.
