Governance

The Romeyne Robert and Uguccione Sorbello Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees responsible for safeguarding the Foundation’s mission, assets, and long-term vision. The Board provides fiduciary oversight and strategic guidance to ensure that the Foundation’s programs and activities advance its charitable, educational, and cultural purposes for the public benefit.

The Foundation operates exclusively for purposes recognized as charitable under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its activities are dedicated to promoting research, education, cultural exchange, and the preservation and dissemination of historical and cultural heritage in the public interest.

Trustees uphold the highest standards of governance, stewardship, and accountability. They establish institutional policies, oversee financial and programmatic priorities, and guide the Foundation’s strategic development, ensuring the continuity of its legacy and its commitment to scholarship, education, and international cultural dialogue.

The Board of Trustees oversees the Foundation’s compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and reviews financial and programmatic activities to ensure that all resources are used solely in furtherance of the Foundation’s charitable and educational mission.
